City and Resource Field Building

This is going to be a short guide telling you how many and what buildings you need in each of your cities and your cities resource fields.  For a more in depth look at each building and their purposes please see my last post Buildings and Their Purposes.

1) Castle: One will automatically be in each of your cities that you build.

2) Knights Hall: You need one in each of your cities.  You need to have 4 knights appointed and assigned to one of each of the four roles.  You may also want to have 1-2 idle knights available for attacking.  More idle knights can be added later.

3) Alchemy Lab:  I would suggest having one in each city until all of your research is completed.  This will allow you to research multiple things at once.  Any research you do in any one city will apply to all the others.  Once you are done with all of your research you can delete the extra labs in your 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th cities.

4) Stable: You need one in each of your cities so you can train horse troops and build up your relief station.

5) Cottage:  You will need 8-10 in each city.

6) Barracks:  All free spaces in your cities after everything else is built should be barracks.  After buildings that are no longer need our torn down they should also be replaced with barracks (markets and alchemy labs).  Roughly 8-15 in each city.

6) Market:  I do not use the market very much at all.  I have one market in my first city, and none in the rest of my cities.  If you have a city in a different providence then your first city you can always add a market in that city as well, since you can only buy and sell to people in the providence that city is located in.

7) Watch Tower:  One in each of your cities.  Very important!  Without the watch tower you will receive no information about any incoming attacks on your city.

8) Embassy:  One in each city will allow your fellow alliance members to be able to reinforce each of your cities.

9) Rally Point:  One in each city will allow you to march your troops from each one of your cities.

10) Storehouse, Relief Station, Blacksmith, Workshop, Tavern: You will need one in each city.

11) Resource Fields:  To get a good start a new city should have 4-6 sawmills, 3 quarries, 3-6 mines, and the rest should be farms.  Ideally once you are built up enough you should have one sawmill, quarry, and mine, and the rest farms.  Personally I like having extra resources around, and I don't mind farming a little more for food to allow my self to have the extra resources to train troops for wars and what not.
